Halestorm's Lzzy Hale recently revealed that the band have close to "two albums' worth" of tunes stored up for a new studio effort. In addition, she said they'll probably start recording it next spring. That's the latest update from the rockers, delivered by Hale in an interview with Atlanta's Rock 105 FM shared late last month (July 29). Watch the full interview down toward the bottom of this page.

"We pretty much decided that in late spring, I think we're gonna settle down and just focus on doing another record," Hale said. "It's crazy. After we finished the last record, Vicious, we had so much material that wasn't even recorded; we had a lot of material that was recorded that wasn't even included on the record."

She continued, "Since then, we have about two albums' worth of material. So it's almost like Vicious was a launchpad for all this new stuff to come. So I can't wait to actually get it down and show it to everybody."

Vicious, which came out in July of last year, spawned the singles "Uncomfortable," "Do Not Disturb" and title cut "Vicious." Now, it looks like spring 2020 is the band's new album start date, which was all but confirmed by another Halestorm member earlier this year.

In June, bassist Josh Smith hinted that the dearth of concerts Halestorm currently have planned for next year (except for ShipRocked) showed the band's intention to start a new album. He remained otherwise tightlipped.

"We wanna get back in the studio and make some more music. That's our loose plan right now," Smith teased. "We've talked about a lot of things, but I'm not gonna give them away. You're just gonna have to wait."

The month prior, Lzzy Hale teamed up with guitar maker Epiphone to release her namesake Limited Edition Lzzy Hale Signature Explorer instrument. She's currently using the guitar out on the road while Halestorm completes a tour of the U.S. with Alice Cooper and Motionless in White.
