The Western A Divisional Boys and Girls basketball tournament is history. The Butte Central Maroons won the Championship game over the Hamilton Broncs 46 to 37. The Maroons led throughout the game, with a score of 10 to 6 after one quarter, 26 to 18 at the half, 36 to 26 at the end of three and the final score was Butte Central 46 Hamilton 37. Both teams will be in the State A Tournament March 7-9 in Great Falls. Joining them will be Frenchtown and Browning. Browning defeated Frenchtown in the consolation game Saturday 60 to 46.

The the girls, Western Division Class A Championship went to Columbia Falls, who defeated Browning 59 to 52 in the final game. Libby defeated Butte Central in the consolation matchup 36 to 30. Those four teams will also be heading to Great Falls for the State tournament. In loser-out games earlier Saturday, for the boys - Frenchtown defeated Dillon 64 to 59 and Browning defeated Whitefish 62 to 55. For the girls, Butte Central defeated Hamilton 38 to 33 and Libby defeated Ronan 49 to 37.
