Hamilton Water Project will Cause a Short Water Shutoff
The water main replacement project on South Third Street in Hamilton has reached the point where some of the residents can be hooked to the new pipe. The first area is the 100 block of South 3rd Street - That requires a shut-off the water between Main Street and Bedford. Mayor Dominic Farrenkopf said the outage will be Thursday, April 12, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. This is an expected shutoff as the replacement project continues.
By the way, the Hamilton City spring clean-up days are next week. Here's the schedule for city residents to have their leaves and branches on the curbside:
This is for organic yard material only, (bagged leaves and bundled branches). NO rocks, dirt or trash will be accepted. The branches (no more than 4 inches in diameter) must be bundled and tied, not to exceed 4 feet in length. If there's a problem with what you leave by the curb, crews will place red tags on items that are not in compliance. Once you've corrected the problem, this is complete, contact the Public Works Department at 363-6717 and they'll come back.
