
Human Remains Found Near Rock Creek, Crime Lab in Missoula Investigating
According to the Granite County Sheriff’s office, a Missoula resident discovered human remains while exploring the Rock Creek Drainage on Saturday, August 9.
Many specifics about the finding are still unclear, including what kind of state the remains were found in, but the Sheriff’s Department has confirmed that the remains were sent to the Montana State Crime Lab in Missoula.
A sheriff’s office spokeswoman said the remains were found about 15 miles up the Rock Creek drainage in an area called Welcome Creek.
A call has been placed to the Granite County Coroner, more information will be posted here as it becomes available.
