Humane Society of Western MT Offering Chinchilla for Adoption
The Humane Society of Western Montana does an amazing job caring for animals. They also do an outstanding job finding animals "fur-ever" homes. I have personally adopted 2 animals from the Humane Society. Both a cat and a dog. But, now I am considering another adoption. Adding another "fur-baby" to the household. I have recently discovered that the Humane Society of Western Montana is looking to find someone to adopt a 1 year old chinchilla.
What's a chinchilla, you ask? Only the most adorable little critter you have ever seen.
According to the San Diego Zoo website
Smaller than a house cat, with large, dark eyes, velvety rounded ears, and plush, grayish fur, the chinchilla is perhaps one of the most enchanting rodents around! They are wildly social, living in family groups, which can form vast colonies, called herds, of over 100 individuals.
It is said that chinchillas can also live to the ripe old age of 20 years old.
The Humane Society of Western Montana has got an adorable 1 year old male chinchilla they are calling Chinzilla. Don't let the name fool you. He is not a little monster.
According to the Humane Society of Western Montana's website
Chinzilla is about 1 yr old, we’ve had him approximately 8 months. He comes with a large cage, running wheel, wooden hiding house he sleeps in, hammock, hanging hay ball, water bottle, food dish, treat dish, various nibbling toys, dust bath, volcanic dust, food, treats, hay, cage cleaning spray, and bedding.
