Inside Edition Covers Montana Boater’s Wild Lake Rescue
How do you go to Flathead Lake for a day and end up on Inside Edition?!? Which is exactly what happened to 21-year-old Bo Brimhall, whose boating malfunction turned TikTok rounds. The kind of boating scenario you really never planned for.
Like any other lake day on Flathead, Bo was out enjoying the summer in his Dad's boat. Bo was driving, and his younger brother Duke was wakeboarding. Bo offered Duke a can of soda, and in a split second, slipped and went right in the drink. A man overboard.
That boat never stopped, it just kept pullin' Duke without a captain behind the wheel. Duke made a move to scramble back in the boat, but another wave caught him, and "splash."
And now you have something that is straight out of any Dad's nightmares. Your kids are in danger, and your boat is speeding to a watery grave. But in this case, their father named them after the Dukes of Hazard. So it wasn't much of a surprise, I'm sure.
Jet Ski Cavalry to the Rescue
Add in two jet skiers who watched the whole thing happen. They zipped out, even saving Bo by pulling him back to his boat just as it was about to run aground. Duke got picked up as well. I guess Flathead Lake has the fastest Good Samaritans on water.
The whole thing was captured on film and loaded to TikTok, which quickly gathered millions of views. Just recently, the television show "Inside Edition" picked up the story and interviewed Bo and Duke.
No one was injured, thankfully. Just a lot of splish splosh, some bruised self-esteem, and a viral Montana moment that will most likely continue to live on forever on TikTok.
