Once a Griz, always a Griz.

With this year's Montana Grizzlies Football team vying for an FCS National Championship this Sunday (10 am pregame, 12 pm kick-off on KGVO and the Griz Radio Network), former players and fans have been pouring in their support of this year's team.

We decided to reach out to some all-time greats and fan favorites to put together a "good luck/beat the Wabbits" video. Here are the legends that appeared in the video.

VIDEO LINKED BELOW

Samari Toure (2016-2020)

The current Green Bay Packer was one of the all-time greats at the WR position at the University of Montana. Before he transferred to Nebraska, Toure was named an All-American by just about every outlet that covers FCS football. Toure recorded 13 touchdowns in 14 games in his final season in Missoula.

Sammy Akem (2016-2021)

Sammy was a stud on the field and is turning into a magnetic media personality. He is the only Griz to finish his career in the top 5 in receptions, touchdowns and receiving yards. Plus, he is the best member of the Grizzly Football Pregame show...

Yohance Humphrey (1998-2001)

The all-time leading rusher in Montana Football history Yohance Humphrey knows a thing or two about winning a Natty. Humphrey was the starting running back of the 2001 championship-winning team.

Shann Schillinger (2006-2009)

The former NFL product and Baker, Montana native is Griz through and through. Schillinger played the safety position, extremely well, for 4 years before joining his alma mater's coaching staff. He is now the head coach at the University of Mary in Bismarck.

Mitch Roberts (2017-2020)

Called Mr. Reliable in his playing days at the U, Mitch Roberts is a recent fan favorite of Griz fans everywhere. The Missoula native and Sentinel product finished his Griz career with 148 catches in 52 games.

Chase Reynolds (2006-2010)

Speaking of National Championships, Chase Reynolds made it to back-to-back title games. Unfortunately, the Griz didn't pull it off in those games but offered some great advice. "Leave everything on the field, enjoy every moment because it flies by. Good luck, bring this one home."
