ICYMI, Montana Football Reportedly Adds Former D2 National Champion to 2027 Schedule
The Grizzly Football program has been busy working ahead for its future seasons. A report this week showed Montana has added another team to its 2027 football schedule.
I can barely work ahead on my work, and never, ever worked ahead when it came to school work. So kudos to them!
Montana Grizzlies vs. West Florida Argonauts
FBS Schedules reported that Montana and West Florida are slated to play at Washington-Grizzly Stadium on Saturday, September 18, 2027. West Florida will get $300,000 to play in Missoula per the agreement.
The West Florida game has not been confirmed by the University of Montana, but when the game gets locked, that will make two non-conference games on the 2027 slate. Montana will welcome Lehigh to town on Saturday, September 4.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the Grizzlies and Argonauts.
University of West Florida Factoids
The University of West Florida is located in Pensacola, and its football program is relatively new. The Argonauts played their first season in 2016 and found success almost immediately. The Argonauts won the 2019 NCAA Division II National Championship under previous head coach Pete Shinnich.
Shinnich is now the head coach at Towson in the CAA at the FCS level.
