The NFL Preseason is no more. The final warm-up games were held on Sunday and now we shift our focus to the regular season - where games mean something. We do have to test our patience, however, as the first regular season game isn't for another week plus. In the meantime, we wait to see who gets cut and who makes Week 1. Last weekend provided some good news, some bad news and some so-so news for Alex Gubner, Dylan Cook, Samori Toure and Patrick O'Connell.

Dylan Cook suffers injury

Let's get the bad news out of the way. Former Griz and current Pittsburgh Steeler Dylan Cook was primed to make another NFL roster this season, but an injury has put a kink in the plan.

Cook was in a preseason battle for a roster spot along the offensive line. Steelers Depot believed Cook would have the Steelers' week 1 roster.

Patrick O'Connell impresses for the Seattle Seahawks

Everything I've heard about Patrick O'Connell's preseason is that he has performed exceptionally well. He was the 5th highest-rated Seahawk by Pro Football Focus. in their final game against the Cleveland Browns.

O'Connell led the team in tackles with 9.

Alex Gubner Cut By Kansas City Chiefs

Former Griz Alex Gubner competed with the Chiefs this Preseason. He finished his first preseason on Sunday recording a tackle against the Chicago Bears, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough to make the opening 53-man roster. It was a tough task to make the Chiefs opening-day roster with a lot of depth at the tackle position - Derrick Nnadi, Chirs Jones, Mike Pennel and Tershawn Watson all have at least 5 seasons of NFL experience ahead of Gubner.

Samori Toure - Green Bay Packers

Another former Griz Samori Toure made one last effort to make the Green Bay Packers' 53-man roster. Toure hauled in two more receptions for 28 yards in the Packers' win over the Baltimore Ravens this weekend. His final preseason numbers read five catches on eight targets for 53 yards. The battle for the Packers' 5th receiver spot comes down to Toure, Bo Melton, Malik Heath and Grant Dubose.
