Friday night's Montana Grizzlies game in Sacramento was discussed far and wide last week. Not because of the on-field action, but rather all the off-field noise from Sacramento State President Luke Wood.

Once the game began, the trash-talking subsided, and the Grizzlies wound up kicking Sacramento State's teeth down their throat.

The Griz posted 40+ points for the 6th time out of 8 games en route to an 8-0 start on the season. In a game that featured highlight after highlight after highlight, Griz quarterback Keali'i Ah Yat caught the attention of the Worldwide Leader in Sports.

There were so many layers to the Ah Yat to Shafer touchdown. Ah Yat scrambled about 20 extra yards to keep the play alive and took a thunderous shot for his troubles. That was one of the more devastating hits you can take on a football field. Somehow, someway, Ah Yat walked off the field under his own power and was back in at quarterback on the very next offensive snap.

The rest of the game was less violent for Ah Yat, who posted another solid outing. The Big Sky Conference's leading passer went 16-24 for 196 yards, 3 touchdowns, and an interception.
