The Biggest Beagle in the World is Less Than 200 Miles from Missoula
You might think it's almost summer, but I like to think that it's almost road trip season. And you might be surprised to learn that Missoula is not that far away from the kind of attraction you'd expect to see in the Midwest, like the World's Largest Ball of Twine in Kansas, or The World's Only Corn Palace in South Dakota.
But not 200 miles from good old Missoula, Montana, you can see the World's Biggest Beagle, and it's not just a roadside attraction. You can actually stay...inside the Beagle!
Staying Inside the World's Biggest Beagle, in Cottonwood, Idaho
First of all, they deserve kudos just on the name alone, but the fact that this is a bed a breakfast too is just remarkable.
You can sleep four people inside the Beagle (I can't get over saying that) and it includes the amenities you'd expect for any type of lodging, like a microwave, refrigerator, and a full bath.
Here's the part that blows my mind.
For the honor of staying in the World's Biggest Beagle, the nightly rate is only $158! And that includes breakfast. The trick will be getting a reservation. Their booking season is only April through August and looking at their 2023 calendar, there doesn't appear to be any availability. They do say they get booked up each season, but you may be able to inquire about next season. Looks like reservations opened in January of this year, so that might be the case next year, too.
Another detail that is totally adorable. They have a pet policy. They say, "Responsible pets arriving with their well-behaved humans are welcome to stay with prior approval." It only seems appropriate that the World's Biggest Beagle would have accommodations for actual Beagles.
