Montana’s reputation as a major stop for big-name concerts continues to grow, and now there’s another venue joining the mix.

For years, Washington–Grizzly Stadium has been the go-to location for massive stadium shows. The Missoula venue has hosted legendary acts including Pearl Jam, Paul McCartney, Elton John, P!nk, The Rolling Stones, and Guns N' Roses. Time and again, it has proven that Montana can attract some of the biggest names in music.

Now, Bozeman is stepping onto that same stage.

Bozeman Steps Into the Stadium Concert Scene

Mumford & Sons has announced a June 4th show at Bobcat Stadium, with Sierra Ferrell opening. The are touring in support of their latest album "Prizefighter". While the band previously played a sold-out show at Ogren Park Allegiance Field, that concert became memorable for more than just the music. Heavy rain and a large stage setup in the outfield caused turf damage that lingered for years and ultimately led to legal disputes.

A football stadium setting should help avoid those kinds of issues and open the door for more large-scale concerts in Bozeman. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, February 24, and are available here or on the Mumford & Sons official website.

Missoula Remains a Major Concert Hub

Meanwhile, Missoula’s concert calendar remains strong. Washington–Grizzly Stadium has already announced an upcoming show featuring Post Malone and Jelly Roll. Add in consistent touring acts at KettleHouse Amphitheater, The Wilma, and The Elm, and it’s clear that Montana music fans have more options than ever.

For a state once overlooked on major national tours, Montana is proving it belongs on the map for major live music events — and the opportunities keep growing. Now it begs the question, with the rivalry between MSU and UM, will this become a "Brawl of the Bands" scenario? Will it become a competition to see who gets the biggest and best bands in the future? If that's the case, after a concert at least half the fans won't leave disappointed.
