Working across the street from a golf course can be frustrating if you are a golfer. It doesn't matter if it is the middle of the winter or the middle of the summer, the course beckons. Being a golfer in Montana can be a bit frustrating too. Golf depends so much on the weather. As we know, the weather in Montana can be a bit fickle, to say the least. Last year I was able to golf right up until the last day of the season. We were the only people on the golf course when it started snowing, we were able to finish our round and just like that the season was done.

Montana doesn't have a very long golf season compared to other states. Golf courses have been closed since last November and here we are in March and yes, we still have snow on the courses and snow in the forecast.

Golfing In Montana Is A Hobby For Me

Golfing is nothing but a hobby for me, I don't have any illusions that I am a good player. For me if I don't have anyone getting angry at me wanting to play through it is a good round. If I don't lose a golf ball on a course or in a pond somewhere, that is a great round.

Spring In Montana Means Golfing

As the days get longer and the calendar officially says that spring is here, I am counting the days until the courses are fully open. Until then the golf course is beckoning, even if there is still snow on the ground.
