Two Montana employers, a nonprofit, and a media company, have been named among the 'Best Places to Work in 2024' by Outside Magazine. Seeing how these employers operate shows that the landscape for working Montanans is improving with an increased focus on well-being.
#32 Wild Montana
Wild Montana was recognized for some attractive perks like four-day work weeks, a three-month paid sabbatical, and a dog-friendly office. However, the conservation organization based in Helena also has a strong mission.
"At Wild Montana we're passionate about protecting public lands and we believe in supporting the people who make our mission possible," said John Todd, Wild Montana's executive director, in a press release. "...I'm exceptionally proud of our incredible team and our commitment to creating an environment where staff can thrive personally and professionally."
#46 Pathlabs
Pathlaps is a digital advertising agency in Missoula that has perks that sound like what you might find at companies in Silicon Valley. Employees enjoy "weekly catered lunches, Friday yoga...company-sponsored events like river tubing, pickleball, golf, ace-throwing, and river cleanups..."
If you're not familiar with Pathlabs it might be because they primarily work with agencies. Then again, you may have seen them in Forbes or Inc.
"We foster an atmosphere where we work hard, celebrate wins, and enjoy time together as humans, not just as coworkers," Pathlabs said in the story for Outside Magazine.
Congratulations to Wild Montana and Pathlabs on their recognition by Outside Magazine.
