7 Quietly Tasty Missoula Restaurants to Check Out
Often, restaurants in Missoula make headlines because they're opening, closing, or have won an award.
But there's a whole slew of restaurants that you don't often hear about. Yet, you'll find long lines and devoted fans of their food. You could say these restaurants "fly under the radar" but they have a very Missoula vibe. Whether it's their homestyle food or the comfortable ambiance, these Missoula restaurants are quietly tasty, and we wouldn't want you to forget about them.
El Cazador
Alfredo and the team at El Cazador have been serving Mexican food in Missoula since 1995. It's the kind of restaurant that collects regulars as if it were a dive bar or diner with swivel stools.
The Lounge at The Keep
The Keep has one of the best views in Missoula. If you've sat in The Lounge you've enjoyed that view, a cozy fireplace, and fantastic food. If you want a more casual atmosphere than the dining room or other fine dining in Missoula, this is your spot.
Masala
Masal is a pretty special spot in Missoula. Fans talk about the incredible service and describe the food as "flavorful" and "fresh." They partner with Soft Landing to employ refugee chefs and staff.
Pagoda Thai and Chinese Cuisine
Some will say Pagoda has the best Chinese food in Missoula. According to a photo posted on Google, the restaurant doesn't give refunds if the food is "too spicy." "Too spicy" might be exactly the cuisine you've been looking for.
The Acropolis
One reviewer on Google calls the Greek food at The Acropolis "the real deal" and compares it to the food they've had in Seattle. The Acropolis is located on South Avenue next to Dominos. They're set off a bit from the street but there's plenty of parking.
The Trough
I've had steak and brunch at The Trough and both were memorable. The atmosphere is comfortable and homey and the food is worth your while. Bonus: you can pick up a few necessities in The Old Dairy and get a great meal in the restaurant.
Miller Creek Cafe
The Miller Creek Cafe has a great patio and is a nice spot in the warmer months to grab a bite and sit outside. It's also good to visit if you're looking for somewhere on the quieter side.
