There’s a movie that’s set to be filmed in Hamilton, Montana, this February, and it looks amazing. It’s called Sharktana. I came across the film on the Montana Filmmakers and Media Artists Facebook page.
What Is “Sharktana” About?
Here is the summary of the movie: "A sleepy ski town’s annual festival turns into a bloodbath when snow-sharks rise from the mountains, forcing estranged locals to unite in a fight for survival."

How to Audition for Sharktana
They are currently casting for the movie, so if there are local actors and actresses interested, you can check out the website and submit your audition tapes. This is a non-union film and a "local-hire film" with no agencies. Shooting dates for the movie are February 9-13. For those interested in being a part of the movie, you can check out the Fast Coast Productions website.
Why This Movie Matters for Montana Filmmakers
Making a film of this level of awesomeness will take some time, but I can’t wait until it hits the big screen. Just knowing there’s a possibility of a film like this out there gives me hope for upcoming artists and filmmakers who will use Montana in their future projects.
