ZooMontana is topping lists again.

This past holiday season, USA Today included the Holiday Nights display at ZooMontana on its list of top 10 zoo lights events. Now, USA Today has honored ZooMontana again with an inclusion on the list of Best Zoos for 2024.

The list is part of their Readers' Choice 2024 awards, and for this category, zoos were nominated by a panel of experts based on the following criteria:

Facilities that excel in the fields of animal care and enrichment, while also facilitating meaningful interactions between animals and human visitors. - USA Today

This positive attention for ZooMontana is nice to see as it was only just last fall that the Zoo suffered a heartbreaking loss.

Remembering Bruno

In October of 2023, ZooMontana shared that the Grizzly Bear known as Bruno had passed away. Many visitors delighted in watching Bruno play with Ozzy, the other Grizzly Bear at ZooMontana.

Now, Ozzy has two new friends, George and Willie, two cubs born in 2023 that were "orphaned in the wild after their mother broke into too many cabins," according to ZooMontana.
