Let the races begin, or more accurately, heat up.

Montana is under a month away from the primary election for several seats, including U.S. House and Senate seats. I'm sure you don't need me to tell you that, considering every time I turn on the television to watch an NBA or NHL playoff game, I get blasted with political ads. We're getting national politicians stepping into the Montana fold, too. President Trump backed Aaron Flint in his bid for Congress, and now this week, a Democratic heavy hitter is making her way to Missoula.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is Missoula-Bound

AOC will be in Missoula at the Wilma Theater on Friday, May 22, to support Sam Forstag in his run for the Western Congressional District.

AOC has served as a U.S. Representative for New York since 2019. According to USA Today, she is also considered one of the early favorites for the 2028 presidential race as of May 13

Who is Sara Nelson?

Joining AOC will be Sara Nelson, who is the President of the Association of Flight Attendants.

Nelson is from Corvallis, Oregon, and has worked as a flight attendant since 1996. 

In 2020, Nelson was co-chair of the Economy Task Force under Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders in an attempt to unify the Democratic Party. 

The rally will take place at the Wilma on May 22 at 6 pm, with doors opening at 5 pm.
