Thanksgiving Prep: Farm Market and Accordions Sunday in Missoula
Okay, you wise-crackers, nobody taught turkeys to play the accordion.
Or.....did they? Hmmmm
Actually, no. And turkeys won't even be the stars in either of these. But, in the spirit of Thanksgiving, we have a couple lively events to tell you about happening this Sunday, November 24, in Missoula.
THANKSGIVING FARM MARKET
Our friends at Turner Farms are hosting their annual Thanksgiving Farm Market on Sunday from 12:00 - 3:30 pm. Turner Farms will be partnering with a few other local vendors to offer seasonal items for your Thanksgiving celebrations. You will find locally roasted coffee, bread, beautiful cupcakes, pie filling, jams and jellies, locally raised hams and other meat, stuffing kits, locally made soaps and more. What a great opportunity to make your holiday gatherings extra special this year with local and fresh items!
Oh, and be sure to say "Hi" to all the farm critters, too! Turner Farms is located at 3515 South Third Street West in Missoula.
KICKIN' IT WITH ACCORDIONS
Before or after your visit to the Thanksgiving Farm Market, satisfy your holiday craving for an accordion dance/jam! (What, you don't have that craving? A few notes in and you will!) The amazing Five Valley Accordion Club will be putting a show of waltzes, swing and two-step. Club members will be joined by Louie Bond and Kimberlee Carlson. They will be sitting in with regular musicians Wally Congdon, Ken Kenmeile, Jeannie Roberts and many more.
Join them for an enjoyable afternoon this Sunday beginning at 1:00 pm, at the Missoula Senior Center, 705 South Higgins. While we believe the event is free of charge, there was nothing in the release sent to us indicating one way or the other.
Here's best wishes from us to you for a Happy Thanksgiving!
