Great Burn Brewing Loses Lease, Must Find New Missoula Location
This was some sad news to start my Saturday off with. Great Burn Brewing announced via Instagram that it lost its lease and will search for a new location by the end of the year.
"Great Burn Brewing (GBB) has lost our lease and is being displaced from our current location that we have called home for 12 years. Our beloved taproom will be turned into a parking lot for the Midtown Market Development." - Great Burn Brewing
It was announced earlier this week that a Whole Foods would be moving into the same area just off of Brooks near Reserve Street.

"To our valued customers, yesterday several press releases hit the media outlets that may have caught you off guard. Many of our regular customers already know some of the details but now that it has hit the air waves we wanted to give the details from our perspective."

Great Burn is, at least, not shutting down for good. They will remain open for the remainder of the year in the current location, and then will hopefully relocate to a new spot.
"GBB has till the end of the year at this location. We have been actively looking for a new location. This is a daunting task as there are not great spaces for a new brewery in our neighborhood. The goal is to try and stay in our midtown / southside area. Please reach out to us if you have any connections to real estate of rentals in the area that may work for a brewery."
This sucks. I hate that Great Burn lost their lease, so if you can support them in any way, please do so.
