Missoula Library Lends a Hand With Free School Supplies Saturday
It might not seem like all that much. A pen or a marker here, a colored pencil there, toss in a notebook or two.
But for families on a tight budget, school supplies can add up, on top of some new clothes and assorted other back-to-school necessities. That's why the Missoula Public Library has made a tradition out of this helpful, and fun, event, to make sure kids in need have what they need to help them succeed.
The annual "Back to School Bash" is this Saturday, August 19, 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., at the Missoula Public Library's Families First Classroom, located on the second floor.
The library believes that kid deserves the chance to thrive. By offering binders, notebooks, pens, pencils, and so much more they can help get them a head start.
And it's all for FREE.
Families First puts together a Back to School Bash where kids can come pick up some free school supplies and welcome in the new school year. And while it's pretty hard to convince most kids to "celebrate" the end of summer and the beginning of school, the library will do their best, not only distributing free school supplies, but also putting on fun games and a chance to join in on some creative art projects.
Also this Saturday at the library, MCAT offers a disco dance opportunity for kids, caregivers and parents from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m.. Stop by the MCAT studio in the southeast corner of Level One after Tiny Tales or Story Time to enjoy a little quality dance time with your with your kids. The light show will be fantastic and the playlist is very kid friendly.
Sounds like it all would be worth devoting a little extra time at the Back to School Bash with your kids this Saturday.
