Is Montana a Lucky State? New Report Says Not Really
Happy St. Patrick's Day, my friends. Enjoy the holiday with an ice-cold green beer, but make sure you're safe. Don't drink yourself to death or get behind the wheel as you're seeing green. Be safe!
Hopefully, you have the luck of the Irish flowing through you today, but unfortunately, Montana isn't one of the luckier states in the country.
And yes, someone conducted a "study" to find the luckiest and unluckiest states in the country.
The Luckiest & Unluckiest States
The Action Network "gave us a list of the luckiest and unluckiest states for St. Patrick's Day."
"Luck is not just about scratch-offs. It's also shaped by financial stability, personal safety, and day-to-day quality of life. To find the luckiest states, we looked at dozens of data points, from credit scores and workplace accidents to literal lightning strikes, to see where life tends to break your way and where the odds are tougher." - Action Network

Montana checked in as the 31st luckiest state. Our best metric was the Irish population percentage—13% of Montanans claim Irish heritage. The rest of our metrics didn't do too well. We've had only 4 lottery winners (lower than the average state), we've had 22 accident deaths per 100k (higher than the average state) and our average credit score is in the middle too.
We're not lucky. We're not unlucky. We're just vanilla.
New Hampshire was called the luckiest state, while Texas was the unluckiest state.
