Sweet Little ‘YouppI’ Would Say ‘Yippee’ If You Adopted Him

For whatever reasons, some Montanans just don't always take kindly to California transplants, but we think everyone would make an exception here.

MEET YOUPPI

It was another Take Me Home Tuesday at the radio stations with the Humane Society of Western Montana, sponsored by our animal-loving friends at Paul's Pancake Parlor in Missoula. Katie introduced us to Youppi (pronounced YOU-pee. I probably could have come up with a more tactful phonetic pronunciation there, but what the heck). Katie says YouppI has definitely been a pleasure for the team at the shelter. Right after his Take Me Home Tuesday visit, it was off to a spa day, as YouppI was ready for a fabulous bath.

At about a year-and-a-half old, Youppi is a transfer pet from California. He was treated for fleas so now that that is behind him, it was time for a sudsy pampering. But even with a different hairdo, he is still going to rock that awesome raccoon look!

If you've been thinking a little dog would be the perfect compliment to your home, definitely get to the Humane Society of Western Montana soon and get to know Youppi.

INCREDIBLE FREE VACCINES AND MICROCHIPS EVENT!

Coming up on Friday, March 27, the Humane Society will be at the Missoula Public Library from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm, offering various vaccinations and microchips absolutely free. This is part of the Library's "Project Community Connects" event, so lots of other activities will be going on. And the shelter hopes to have some complimentary pet food and pet beds to give away as well.

The free walk-in clinics are first-come, first-served, so please be patient. The shelter routinely services well over 100 dogs and cats at these events.
