TSA Bans Items In Checked Bags, What Montanans Need To Know
It feels like the TSA has made some major changes in the last year, doesn't it?
You can now walk through security without taking off your shoes, which I'm a big fan of. I'm sure all your feet are clean, but I don't need to see them.
Especially when people wear shoes without socks, and they're walking through the airport, letting the dogs breathe.
Gross. It's not right.
Of course, we can't forget about the RealIDs finally being implemented. That was a long, long process that was finally cemented earlier this year.
If you somehow missed that, yes, a RealID or a passport is required to get through security now.

TSA is banning more items
The TSA relaxed its restrictions on shoes, but placed several items on its "Don't even think about bringing this on a plane" list.
MSN reported that "items with heating elements" can no longer be checked, but they can be stowed in a carry-on.
Items such as cordless flat irons, curling irons, or hair straighteners will have to go in your carry-on.
"Any cordless curling irons containing gas cartridges (butane) discovered in a checked bag will be removed and turned over to the airline as a HAZMAT item."
Missoula Airport set to undergo renovations
Since we're on the topic, we want to remind you that the Missoula Montana Airport will be closed from September 2nd through Sunday, September 7th, at 3pm.
