
Body of Missing Woman Recovered From a Missoula River
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On March 9, 2025, at 5:33 PM, the Missoula Police Department reported that a missing Colorado woman’s body was discovered in the Clark Fork River. Police Public Information Officer Whitney Bennett has the details.
“The Missoula Police Department regrets to report that today, shortly after 4:00 PM, Danit Ehrlich’s body was recovered from the Clark Fork River near Beartracks Bridge,” Bennett said. “Ms. Ehrlich and her dog, Bamba, been reported missing and were believed to have drowned on February 21, 2025. Earlier today, Missoula Police Officers responded to a 911 call in which a caller reported a human body in the river.”
Upon arrival and confirmation of the report, Bennett said MPD requested the assistance of the Missoula Fire Department personnel in the recovery.

“A Missoula County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Coroner conducted a preliminary examination and confirmed the decedent was Ms. Ehrlich,” Bennett said. “Unfortunately, Bamba has not been recovered. Ms. Ehrlich’s family has been notified of this recovery, and we send our support and condolences to all her family, friends, and loved ones.”
