The chase proceeded south of town, heading west on MT 37 southwest of Eureka. Other officers joined the pursuit, including a Border Patrol agent, a Montana FWP warden and a Montana Highway Patrol trooper, whose name wasn't immediately released. Authorities didn't provide exact details but are saying the trooper was struck by the suspect's vehicle.

The trooper was injured and airlifted to the hospital in Kalispell where he was listed in stable condition.

The Lincoln County Sheriff says the suspect, and others in the car, were arrested and booked into the county jail in Libby.
