Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On May 23, 2023, a Missoula Police Department officer was made aware of an unlawful entry into an occupied establishment located in the 800 block of West Broadway Street. The officer was informed that the suspect was 35-year-old Kenneth Grable.

The officer was also informed that Grable was arrested for theft, formally trespassed, and was notified he is not welcome at the establishment on May 18, 2023. When the officer arrived, he was notified that Grable was permanently trespassed from the location and had been discovered inside the store attempting to steal items from the establishment.

According to court documents, Grable was reported to have taken a sandwich from the deli and placed the sandwich deep within his pants in his groin region in an attempt to conceal the sandwich.

The officer spoke to an employee who was familiar with Grable. Both the employee and another employee informed the officer that they knew Grable and that he frequently disregarded the establishment's trespass notices. They also said Grable would very frequently commit other crimes while remaining on the premises unlawfully.

The employee explained that he tried to address Grable by informing him that he was permanently trespassed and requested that he return the item he was attempting to conceal and depart from the store with.

The employee stated that Grable demanded the establishment contact law enforcement. The employee explained that while waiting for law enforcement to arrive, Grable withdrew the sandwich he was concealing in his pants and ate it in front of the employees while mocking them.

When the officer arrived on the scene, he observed Grable showing no remorse for his actions. Grable displayed his displeasure with law enforcement through verbal dialogue and refuted having committed burglary.

Grable was placed under arrest and transported to the Missoula County Detention Center. He is currently being charged with felony burglary. On May 24, 2023, Grable made his initial appearance in Missoula Justice Court and his bond was set at $5,000.
