Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On December 21, 2024, Missoula Police Department Officers responded to a store in the 800 block of W. Broadway. An employee told an officer that he was working in the store when he heard multiple loud booming sounds, causing him to walk toward the front doors. He said he observed a big rock crash through one of the windows. He opened the front doors and saw 41-year-old Hanna Roldi grab multiple rocks.

The employee said Roldi began to scream at him while raising the rocks in a throwing motion and yelling that she was going to "kill" him and "kill" him with a rock. The employee said Roldi began to chase him around while throwing multiple rocks at him, one of which struck him in his right shin causing him pain. An officer noticed an abrasion and a small bruise on his shin. The employee then showed the officer the small rock that had struck him, as well as another rock that was approximately the size of a baseball, which he stated was also thrown at him.

The officer asked the employee what he believed would have happened if the rock had struck him in the head. The employee stated that it could have severely injured him or even killed him. He said that he had to dodge the larger rock so he would not be struck.

The employee said he was able to physically restrain Roldi and keep her from throwing rocks. He advised that after a little while he was able to calm her down and he allowed to her to get up. Shortly after, officers arrived.

He stated that he heard her say something about "killing" but he was unsure of its context when she was hurling rocks at the employee.
