Montana Schools Ranked. Where Do We Land Compared To Others?
Full disclosure, I'm married to a school teacher, so I am aware of how much work they put into what they do. I also know that while they have summers off and that is often used against them, they also spend their own money and their days are seldom 8 hours.

I bring this up because there is new information out about the American School System and they break it down into states, so we get to see were Montana is ranked among the 49 other states. The folks over at WalletHub decided to look at each state and ranked them according to the following two items:
- Quality
- Safety
Now, it should be noted that there were several factors that went into each category, but according to the data, it seems that the schools in Montana are right smack dab in the middle, with the state being ranked 25th out of 50.
For those who are curious, our overall quality rank is 20th while our safety rank is 29th.
Ok, so we're not the best, but we're not the worst. For some, being in the middle is a pretty good place to be. It should be noted that we are ranked higher than Idaho, Oregon, South Dakota, and Washington as far as our region goes. However, the folks in North Dakota and Wyoming beat us out.
Because education is often funded by the state and local communities, some communities in Montana might be a little more willing to foot the bill than others.

What are your thoughts? Should education be a bigger priority here in Montana? Or, are we good where we're at? Let us know what you think by sending us a message on our app.
