Sometimes you want to enjoy your meal and company but you might have to hurry if this new policy is true.

Fast food restaurants serve thousands of Montanans daily. Taco Bell, McDonald's, Wendy's, and more are spots where folks can get a quick meal for themselves, their family, or kids so they don't have to worry about cooking later.

Most folks either use the drive-thru to get their meals or have DoorDash or UberEats deliver their food to work or home out of convenience. It's made life easy and quick to get food you know you will enjoy.

One way to enjoy your meal is going inside the restaurant, ordering, and sitting down to eat but not many folks do that anymore.

We all have seen groups of older folks meeting up for a coffee and catch up on each other's lives but that doesn't happen these days.

If there comes a time soon you want to sit down in your favorite fast food joint and enjoy a meal, you might have a limited time to eat your meal.

Eat This, Not That reports that several fast food restaurants across America are limiting customers who decide to dine in at their restaurants.

McDonald's, Wendy's, and Burger King locations have started this policy and could reach Montana soon.

How much time? According to photos and reports, most fast food joints limit people to 30 minutes inside the restaurant.

Fast-food restaurants have been implementing odd policies recently. A Billings McDonald's banned high school students from coming into the store from 10 AM to 2 PM during the week.

Most folks these days prefer to order ahead or access the drive-thru, but what if there are parents who want to go to the restaurant, order, and let their kids play in the indoor playground? What if there is a birthday party?

These are all questions that need to be answered. We haven't heard of any Montana fast-food joints pushing this policy, but it could be on the way.

We understand why fast food joints might be implementing this policy. They don't want people to loiter and hang out for hours inside and not spend money. That's a valid reason.

Maybe we will hear more info about this soon.
