Time to float the river is quickly running out as we are approaching the final weekend of August. Whether you haven't been at all this summer, or want to squeeze in one more before September, you are welcome to join the KettleHouse crew (Krew?) for their celebration float this Saturday, August 29th.

The Myrtle Street taphouse is celebrating 25 years of community, friends, neighbors, endless laughs, and BEER. Put in is from 2 to 4 p.m. at Sha-Ron and will end at the Higgins bridge, where you can then to walk to the Hip Strip taphouse. I still consider that area back there the Hip Strip, I mean the KettleHouse and Le Petit ARE hip, right?

The post float specials from 4 to 8 p.m. are $2 cans of KettleHouse core beers for those who floated (show them your tube or paddle for proof), and $4 pints of the 25th Anniversary Pale Ale for floaters and non-floaters alike. According to the KettleHouse:

The 25th Anniversary Pale Ale: Our brewers used Australian hop Vic Secret to give it huge passion fruit and tropical notes. At 5.5%, it’s gonna go down pretty easy after a couple hours floating in the sunshine.

Tubes are available for sale at both taprooms, and taproom capacity is limited so they say they will honor the $2 cans to-go if need be.
