Spring is a wonderful time because you can BBQ and chill in the backyard without the fear of being eaten alive by yellow jackets and wasps. Once summer comes, so do the damn insects that like to ruin perfectly good cans of beer by crawling inside and dying.

Our buddy JP next door at the Sherwin Williams paint store swears by his life hack for getting rid of pesky yellow jackets and wasps. He suggests pouring Rolling Rock "or any green bottled beer" into your traps. He says after an hour the beer gets skunky enough to attract the yellow jackets and wasps, but not the much needed honey bees.

You can use the traps you already have or make some out of plastic 2-liter bottles. We plan to try it out for ourselves this summer.
