Missoula is seeing a lot of changes happening at the Southgate Mall. It was recently announced that Bob's Pizza and JC Penney would be closing, and now it's confirmed that Lucky's Market will be closing permanently.

Employees say they were informed this morning that the store would be closing in three weeks.Lucky's opened in Missoula in 2018 and brought more than 100 jobs into the community. According to the Missoulian, Lucky's financial backer, Kroger, is pulling their support "after reviewing Lucky's Market's portfolio." No word yet on what may be taking Lucky's spot at the Mall.

Below is a statement from the Missoula Lucky's Market:

Our thoughts are with the employees impacted by the Lucky’s Market announcement. We believe the decision to close Lucky’s Market at Southgate Mall is part of a larger store closing announcement impacting locations across the U.S. While continuing to support existing tenants, our leasing team is actively pursuing new uses, which could include specialty grocery, as well as other tenancy which provides differentiated goods and services. We continue to see strong demand for space at Southgate Mall and will share additional details in the future.” – Tim Winger, General Manager of Southgate Mall
