The Fall Mack Days are going on now on Flathead Lake. This tournament takes place both in the Spring and in the Fall. The goal is to lower the number on non-native lake trout in the lake. The CSKT tribes host the event that offers up thousands in cash and prizes to anglers. That includes tagged fish that can score you anywhere between $100 and $10,000.

This past weekend, three Mack Days anglers caught something they never would have expected to catch on Flathead Lake. They managed to net a young bobcat from the water. They say that, while fishing, they noticed a cat swimming far from shore. The closer they got, they realized it was a bobcat. They took their fishing net and brought the cold and wet little guy on board. They took him to shore on Finlay Point and set him free.

I guess we can call that the CATCH OF THE DAY.
