Amazing! Whitefish Athlete Qualifies For Her 3rd Olympic Games
Qualifying for one Olympic Games? Yeah, that's pretty impressive. Qualifying for TWO Olympic Games? Alright, now you're talking. But then qualifying for THREE Olympic Games? Geez, you're making the rest of us look bad, dial it back a bit.
Obviously, a huge congratulations has to go out to the athlete from Whitefish who just qualified for her third Olympics! That'd be Maggie Voisin, who will now be heading to the 2022 Beijing Olympics as part of the US Olympic Freestyle Ski Team.
According to the Whitefish Pilot, Voisin first qualified for the Sochi Olympics in 2014 when she was just 15 years old - but an injury kept her from actually competing. The second time around, during the Pyeongchang Olympics in 2018, she finished fourth in the slopestyle competition. She's also got a few X-Games medals to her name and was named U.S. Ski and Snowboard's Freestyle Athlete of the Year in 2020.
It'll be exciting to turn on the Olympics in just a couple of weeks and have somebody local to root for. We had something similar in Missoula around this time last year, when a local athlete competed in the skiing competitions at the X-Games.
Are you looking forward to the 2022 Winter Olympics? If you need to get in the mindset, the Roxy Theater in Missoula has got you covered for the month of January with a great series of Winter Olympics-themed movies.

Good luck, Maggie!
