Mama Grizzly Charges Passing Car
The Beartooth Highway is one of the most scenic highways in the world. And one of the wildest places in Montana and Wyoming.
According to Wikipedia
It traces a series of steep zigzags and switchbacks, along the Montana-Wyoming border to the 10,947 ft (3,337 m) high Beartooth Pass in Wyoming. The approximate elevation rise is from 5,200 ft (1,600 m) to 8,000 ft (2,400 m) in 12 mi (19 km) in the most daring landscapes.
The handful of times I remember driving the scenic highway, I recall having snowball fights in early August at the stop of the pass. I also remember the lightheaded feeling I got, from the lack of oxygen so high above sea level. But, on top of the world, and so close to Yellowstone National Park, you will notice some amazing wildlife. Everything from giant moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goats and even the occasional grizzly bear sighting.
Recently, a professional skier from Colorado captured footage of a grizzly and her cubs just off the side of the highway.
According to Tanner Saul - MTN News
Calvin Barret is a professional skier from Denver who took a shocking video in the Beartooth Mountains.
"Couldn't really believe it at first I was like a little naive to how intense it was. Because it all happened so quick," Barret said.
Barret said he has received a lot of criticism after posting the video. With lots of people saying they didn't handle the situation well, and should have backed off and gave the grizzlies a little more space.
