Mastodon Announce New 2017 North American + U.K. Tour Dates With Eagles of Death Metal + Russian Circles

Mastodon are already planning their next stint on the road. Still riding high off their seventh studio album, Emperor of Sand, the band has announced a new batch of 2017 North American and U.K. tour dates.

Mastodon’s spring 2017 tour dates with Eagles of Death Metal and Russian Circles were so much fun, they’re doing it all again. In April and May, the three bands hit the road together for a tour of North America. Throughout the run of shows, Mastodon’s Brent Hinds joined Eagles of Death Metal onstage during the band’s opening number, “I Only Want You.” Hinds also made the tour special by proposing to his girlfriend onstage.

Mastodon will play the Psycho Las Vegas Festival and High Elevation Festival before kicking off their latest leg with EODM and Russian Circles. The run of dates will begin Sept. 26 in Orlando, Fla. and finish up Oct. 25 in Vancouver, British Columbia. To end the year, the three bands will travel to the U.K. for a short stint of shows beginning Dec. 2 in Cardiff, Wales and concluding Dec. 10 in London.

With the release of Emperor of Sand, Mastodon landed their third consecutive Top 10 album, selling 43,000 units in the first week. Emperor of Sand was officially the highest selling album in America during it’s debut week, outselling chart-toppers like Drake, Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars.
