We're certainly experiencing more events than we were last year at this time, but we're not back into full swing yet. Some events are being pushed to 2022, while others are giving options for in-person or virtual. For this year's Earth Day, Missoula's got a little of everything, with a lot of different options to celebrate the 51st anniversary of Earth Day.

The Missoula Urban Demonstration (MUD) Project and Home Resource are typically Earth Day headquarters with a variety of activities happening on location. This year, they have provided an extensive list of activities to enjoy on your own, find the full list here. Activities include taking MUD workshops, learning about honeybees and watching an installation into their hives, volunteering, learning about the Mountain Line's "Spring Shift," and a scavenger hunt & organized litter pick up called "Gnomefest,"

On campus, you can join the UM Sustainability's Earth Day celebration on the Oval from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today. Campus and community groups will be on hand to showcase how you can get involved and take action to be sustainable year round.

The Roxy is hosting a FREE IWFF pop up from 8 to 10 p.m. with a showing of the film 'Lichen' to not only celebrate Earth Day, but also U of M Wildlife Biology's 85th anniversary. In the Roxy Garden, there will be a double feature showing of 'The Big Reset' and '2040.' Also in the Garden at 8:30 p.m., check out 'Secret of the Whales: Orca Dynasty.' Get tickets and more info for all of The Roxy events here.

Nationally, you can watch three days of climate action streaming live here.
