One of these days, they're gonna finally take my advice and add a direct flight to New York. One of these days...

Anyway, word came through yesterday that American Airlines is adding a new, daily, non-stop flight out of Missoula International Airport to Los Angeles International Airport. Now, I know most people aren't really traveling right now, but I know a lot of people (myself included) have been daydreaming about the kind of traveling they're going to do once the pandemic is over and enough people have been vaccinated.

In fact, I was supposed to go to Los Angeles last summer to see Green Day, Weezer, and Fall Out Boy in concert with a bunch of my friends until COVID shut everything down. That show is currently rescheduled for this summer - we'll see if that actually happens, but if it does, and it's safe to travel over there, this direct flight to LA is probably gonna be a big help for me.

The flight doesn't start until June 3rd, and it's currently only scheduled to run until August 16th - although if it proves popular, I'm sure they could extend its run. I don't know how you gauge the popularity of a flight while a pandemic is still going on, but I also know that if an airline thinks they can make money off of something, they're going to milk it for all its worth. Remember to always bring your own headphones instead of paying $14 for the lousy ones they provide!

Think you'll be using this LA flight over the summer?
