Oh My! Is a Missoula Chick-fil-A Finally on the Way?
I don't know if I can handle this amount of good news over the course of just a few days! I've pretty much already been on a high all week with the opening of the new Firehouse Subs in Missoula. I've loved me some Firehouse since I was introduced to it while living in Florida. And there happens to be one other place I became a pretty big fan of when I was a resident of the Sunshine State. Yep, it's tough to beat Chick-Fil-A when it comes to fast food.
Do you remember the timeline of events?
It seems like it's been forever since Missoula's Pier One Imports closed its doors. In reality, the rumors started flying about an impending closure in December of 2019, and the official word followed shortly after in January of 2020. It was February of last year when it was announced that Chick-fil-A had applied for a permit. The plan called for the existing Pier One to be torn down and a new building built to serve as the home of delicious chicken sandwiches and waffle fries.
Let's get this party started
I've recently been starting to wonder if the plans were still in the works. There has officially been zero activity at the site since Pier One closed and the Chick-fil-A news was announced. But wait! It looks like things are finally starting to happen! We witnessed some serious action out on Reserve St. today as you can see from these pictures, including this one that was taken from the PetSmart parking lot.
At least we think it's still a Chick-fil-A
Is it time for Missoula to join the list of cities that have America's top fast-food restaurant? It's been a little quiet lately when it comes to news of Chick-fil-A opening their new store. But until I'm told otherwise, I'm going to assume no news is good news and everything is still on track like when plans were announced. The only bummer is we're just getting started and it'll be a while before Chick-fil-A (or anything else) is ready to open where all the rubble currently lies.
