Missoula TikTok Mystery: Is Someone Peeing in Public?

Missoula’s been hit with its very own bizarre little internet mystery, courtesy of a TikTok creator known as @montana.mister. The videos all seem to have the same theme: a mysterious person reportedly took a piss in public. Now, no one is saying that this person is on the streets committing misdemeanors. Chances are, it is just some knucklehead using a sports water bottle. But it’s the illusion that slows you down and makes you scroll back and say, "Wait… did he just pee outside the Wilma?"

The Engagement Game

This is the stuff TikTok was made for. It’s cryptic, it’s dark, it almost makes you want to comment just to participate in finding this person. Missoulians are spotting their favorite landmarks in these clips and can’t resist joining the digital detective squad. The more people argue over where and how he’s doing it, the more the videos get views.

The Challenge

So here’s my pitch: If @montana.mister wants to really take this mystery up a level, choose somewhere to make any locals’ blood boil. Visualize a stunt with a “serial pisser” rolling up to the UM Oval and taking a leak on the Griz statue, or outside Big Dipper on a July night. Could you imagine the number of people who would be out looking for this mysterious person with an overactive bladder?

For the time being, Missoula has its own weird little viral challenge now. Turning local users on TikTok into amateur crime detectives. The only real crime here? Forcing me to spend too much time CSI-ing whether that splash was real URINE or a bottle of Gatorade.
