Montana is not quite in the path of totality for the upcoming total eclipse on August 21st, however, we are close and will get a pretty great view of this rare event.

The Missoula Public Library invites you to join them on Monday, August 21st at 10:15 a.m. at Kiwanis Park to watch the solar eclipse, they'll even provide safety glasses. Here are a couple of other fun events they have coming up to get your family ready for the big day!

"Telescopes & the Solar Eclipse" - The Western MT Astronomical Association experts will demonstrate the library's two circulating telescopes. Monday, August 7th at 6 p.m. in the Large Meeting room at the library.

"Fun with the Solar Eclipse" - Bring your family to learn about sunlight, solar system sizes, ways to experience the eclipse and to touch some actual rocks from space. Tuesday, August 8th at 7:30 p.m. in the Large Meeting room at the library.
