Missoula Man Almost Wins Powerball Jackpot, Claims $40,000

Numbers from Saturday's Powerball drawing were 10, 15, 33, 48, 54 with the powerball 34.

Missoula's Bruce Sperry was one number off from winning the $80 million jackpot. He bought his ticket at the Hellgate Trading Post on Mullan Road. Bruce and his wife Monte did collect a very nice consolation prize though, $40,000.

Bruce says he plays all the time although this is his first lucky ticket, and recommends to hopeful winners to always opt in for the power play.

There has been one drawing since then, Wednesday's Powerball numbers were 7, 8, 9, 24, 29 with 25 as the powerball. The next drawing is Saturday with an estimated prize of $113 million or about $63 million cash value.
