Missoula’s Favorite Pizza Places, Past and Present
There are several questions you can ask in Missoula that will inevitably spark a debate. Questions like which team does bette, Griz or Cats? Or which side of town has worse traffic? And apparently, who serves the best pizza in Missoula?

I recently asked on Facebook for everyone to post their three top choices for Missoula pizza places (past or present). I had expected people would simply be naming the places they currently love. However, once I added 'past,' things got interesting. People started rummaging through the Missoula pizza cemetery and pulled out some really cool memories.
People really miss Tower Pizza
The one place people continued to reference throughout this question was Tower Pizza. It wasn't uncommon for people to limit themselves to only one choice. Some responses were simple: "Tower, no doubt" or "Tower, Tower, Tower". Howard's and Godfather's made several appearances as well. This shows that Missoula apparently still hasn't fully recovered from the loss of these old pizza places.

On the flip side, many great names were mentioned from businesses we still have open. Biga Pizza, The Bridge, and Pie Hole were popular mentions. As well as MacKenzie River.
My Missoula Pizza Mount Rushmore... Except There are Just Three!
If I am required to choose just three places, I'd go with Biga Pizza, Pizza Pipeline, and the Zoo Town Pizza from Zimorino's.
Zimorino's pick may have been based on nostalgia, but it seems I'm not the only one because Zimorino's received a vote along with a few nostalgic references such as Happy Jack's, Howard's, and Stageline.
Pizza Pipeline did make my list. Is it high-end? No way. Did I survive off a strict diet of Cajun breadsticks? Yes. Sometimes you need something that has seen you through the good times and bad.
Missoula's Pizza History Runs Deep.
What I think I enjoyed the most about this post was when it turned into less of a competition and more of reminiscing about the numerous pizza places Missoula has gone through over the years. Places like Freemo's, Tarantino's, Howard's, Tower, Godfather's, and Zimorino's were receiving votes right next to today's favorites.
