Montana Chef Beats Bobby Flay in Epic Cooking Battle
Let's face it, being a celebrity chef has got to be one of the coolest jobs out there. Am I jealous of Guy Fieri? Maybe a little.
Watching Celebrity Chefs work is amazing. You always think they are just some talking head until they start whipping out some 5-star dishes. What is even more fun to watch is when the "TV Chef" challenges seasoned professionals to cooking battles.
Celebrity Chef, Bobby Flay, has had his share of cooking competitions on the Food Network. One of his most popular is the show "Beat Bobby Flay." A show that has been on the air for 36 seasons and 11 years.
According to KPAX
Representing the Flathead Valley on the national stage is what Whitefish’s own renowned chef Earl Reynolds has done after competing against and ultimately winning an episode of “Beat Bobby Flay” on the famous Food Network show. The Whitefish High School graduate and James Beard nominated chef flew to New York City to compete on the show, which has two contestants prepare a meal in front of judges with a mystery ingredient picked out by Bobby Flay.
Earl said he simply watched a couple of episodes of the show to learn the format of the show and use that to his advantage. Saying that his use of wonton wrappers is what sealed his victory over the celebrity chef, Bobby Flay.
Another Flathead Valley chef is set to compete on the same show in the coming weeks. Be on the lookout for chef Sam Bassett, co-owner of Forage Catering, on an upcoming episode of "Beat Bobby Flay."
