Montana Fire Blamed on Snake and Hawk Electric Shock

So, this snake and hawk walk into a power line, and the snake says,...no, wait, this isn't the opening line to a goofy joke.

MTN News in Great Falls reported a bizarre incident which led to a 40-acre grass fire yesterday. Hawk swoops down on a snake. Hawk takes off in flight with snake in talons. Snake is squirming around and touches a power line during hawk's ascent. Power line sparks and sends electric current through snake and hawk. Hawk and snake hit the dry ground. Accompanying sparks hit the ground, too, causing the grass fire.

Several community crews along with National Guard and Malmstrom Air Force base crews aided in putting out the fire. No injuries were reported. Except hawk and snake.
