Montana Grizzly Softball Fans Can Attend This Week’s Home Games

As the public address announcer for University of Montana basketball games, I can tell you it was a quiet, sterile and lonely season in the Adams Center.

With only a few people allowed to attend (literally---we maxed out at about 25), I realized just how much the atmosphere created by large and enthusiastic crowds was missed. With the promise of pretty nice weekend weather, this may be just the "ticket" if you have been missing Grizzly sporting events.

UM Women's Sports Information Director Joel Carlson tells us that tickets for the Montana softball team's first home games in nearly two years are now on sale. But as you can imagine, there are still some restrictions.

The Grizzlies host Seattle and Utah Valley this week in the three-team, four-day, six-game Montana Classic. The games will be played at Grizzly Softball Field. The team's last home game was a 4-2 victory over Northern Colorado on April 27, 2019, which capped a 16-3 season on its home field.

Montana will play Seattle in a doubleheader at 1 p.m. on Thursday (March 18), then face the Redhawks in a single game on Friday at 1 p.m. Utah Valley will be in town for a weekend set. The Wolverines and Grizzlies will play a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 1 p.m., then a single game at noon on Sunday.

Fans will be able to purchase pods of two or four seats in the main grandstand or in the bleachers beyond the team dugouts along the left- and right-field lines. Pods of seating for 8 will be available for purchase along the outfield fence.

Tickets will feature mobile delivery, which will cut down on in-person interaction upon fans' arrival at the field. Face coverings will be required of all spectators. You can get your tickets online now on this page of the griztix website.
