Montana Has Help Line for Fire-Affected Businesses
The forest fires of this summer destroyed some buildings and many, many trees, but it also hurt businesses in Western Montana - especially those dependent on tourist traffic. The lack of expected income is severe in some cases.
The Ravalli County Economic Development Authority said that Montana's Office of Tourism and Business Development has set up a help line. It's a clearinghouse of programs and resources to help.
In a news release, John Schneeberger said the Montana Business Disaster Recovery Help Line is (406) 841-2770 or you can go online at marketmt.com/BusinessRecovery.
John said that many businesses in Ravalli County were affected by the dramatic shortening of the tourist season and the record amounts of wildfire smoke.
The Ravalli County Economic Development Authority has more information for businesses in need of assistance. They are located at 274 Old Corvallis Road - Suite or you can call 375-9416.
