Montana Super Mom Sets World Record at Missoula Marathon
Being a parent is a tough job. Especially being a Mom. But, some parents just possess a certain kind of "super powers." Take Theresa Marie Pitts, from Kalispell, MT. She managed to complete the 26.2 mile Missoula Marathon, all while pushing a stroller filled with 3 kids. The stroller is estimated to weigh 145 pounds, and is no easy task to run with. But, in true Montana style, she did it. Pitts finished the full marathon in 4 hours and 25 minutes. Which is just 5 minutes below the time the Guinness Book of World Records set as the time to beat.
According to MTN News
Pitts said “I was completely exhausted,” Pitts admitted. “I was in a lot of pain. I was feeling sick. And then I saw the 4:30 pacers pass me. I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ It took everything I had to stay with those 4:30 pacers. Somehow I tapped into an extra reserve tank that I never knew I had.”
The stroller had 3 kids ranging from 5 months old to 5 years old. Congratulations Theresa. Very impressive.
