When you think of Christmas flavors, peppermint and chocolate come to mind, right? Not for Montana.

According to Candy Store, Americans will spend 1.93 million dollars on Christmas candy this year. Red & green M&Ms tie Pez dispensers with candy for the most popular holiday candies in the country. Pez dispensers are fun to collect, but IMO, the candy isn't worth the top spot.

Candy canes and peppermint bark were also popular picks, and reindeer corn was also mentioned in some states (that is just candy corn that is renamed to try and get an extra month out of leaving it in the candy bowl.)

So what candy to Montanans love the most at Christmas? Skittles. Yeah, not very Christmassy, huh? Our second fav is Reese's Minis and Reese's Pieces take 3rd place. North Dakota was the only state to say that the best way to celebrate the holidays is by eating lots of chocolate Santas.

Reminder: December 26th is National Candy Cane Day!
